Recently, news from NFC Africa Mining Plc (NFCA for short), a Zambia-stationed enterprise of CNMCL, says that the Chambishi High School classrooms built on the nearly US$ 100,000 of investment have been put into use. This is yet another move of NFCA for fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and benefiting local community.
From August 6 to 7, 2012, accompanied by Tao Xinghu, vice chair of the board and president of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Corporation Limited, Zhang Keli, secretary of CPC Committee for China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., paid an investigating visit to NFC Africa Mining PLC (NFCA for short). China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. is the holding shareholder of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Corporation Limited and NFCA is a company in Zambia with the investment from China Nonferrous Metal Mining Corporation Limited.
On October 23, 2012, Zambia local time, Chambishi Copper Smelter Limited (CCS), a Zambia-stationed enterprise of CNMC, handed over a trading market in Chambishi to Kalulushi council as its donation. The handover ceremony was held at Chambishi Town. The donation is one of the public welfare projects of CCS for local community. Mr. Yu Zhongqin, deputy CEO of CCS, Mayor Mr. Simpemba, municipal officer Ms. Msameba, councilor Mr. Nasinda, and a number of local people attended the ceremony
