On December 10, 2018, the public benefit selection outcome for the "Second Session of Meritorious Enterprises and Individuals of Non-ferrous Metal Industry Implementing Overseas Resource Development Strategy" was published ceremoniously, CNML was awarded with the title of "Meritorious Enterprises", and Xie Kaishou, Executive Director and Vice President of the Company was awarded with the title of "Outstanding Individual". 

The selection was sponsored by the magazine named China Nonferrous Metals, which was selected as one of the "Top 100 newspapers in China", with the purpose of exploring benchmarking enterprises and entrepreneur representative of "Going Abroad" from the non-ferrous industry, so as to enlighten, guide and help the same trade to better promote the overseas development and cooperation by virtue of its successful experience, advanced mode and fruitful achievements, thus achieving great success constantly. Since the activation of selection activity in July 2018, the Judging Panel collected the enterprises and individual data extensively, and assessed the proposed list and submitted to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association for approval through rigorous and careful preliminary assessment and re-assessment in combination of network open-voting outcomes, and finally determined 10 meritorious enterprises and 10 outstanding individuals after 5-day publicity of proposed list.  
 
Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and General Manager of CNML, stated that, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up and 5th anniversary after the initiative to build the "Belt and Road" jointly was proposed, the title of meritorious enterprise and outstanding individual we obtained not only represented the full acknowledgment of entire industry for the development achievements we obtained in 35 years after we implemented the strategy of "Going Abroad", especially for the development of overseas resources, but also reflected the encouragement and expectations of all sectors of society for us to implement the important thoughts of President Xi Jinping to construct the "community with shared future for mankind", respond to national call for opening wider to the outside world, promote, establish and make the "Belt and Road" Initiative deeper and practical. CNML will take it as an opportunity, accelerate the construction of "Internationalization, Specialization, Regionalization, Materialization, Capitalization" according to the strategic thoughts of "making the development and utilization of mineral resources stronger, making engineering contract bigger, making trading business more practical, making capital better and giving priority to the development of international business", adhere to the strategy of "attaching equal importance to autonomous investment and merger and acquisition", strive to create a scientific and technological as well as a quality and benefit oriented world-class mining group with global competitiveness, so as to make new and greater contributions to promoting the development of friendly economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries and creating a power of non-ferrous metal industry.   
 
CNML is one of the earliest enterprises with the most fruitful achievements of international operations that implemented the strategy of "Going Abroad" among the nonferrous industry in China, with its business all over more than 80 countries and regions, and has constructed 8 mines, 7 smelting plants and 1 nation-level oversea economic trade and cooperative zone in Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Myanmar, Mongolia, Tajikistan and other countries, and formed the unique advantages in self-investment, self-construction, self-operation and self-management of overseas resource development.
