Recently, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the Nonferrous Metals Society of China published the assessment result of "2016 Scientific and Technological Prize of China's Non-Ferrous Metals Industry" on China Nonferrous Metals News and many other media. There were a total of 19 achievements achieved by CNMC that won the scientific and Technological progress prizes as the first accomplishing unit, 3 of which were First Prize, 9 of Second Prize and 7 of Third Prize, and 11 achievements won the prize as the participating unit. CLM affiliated to the Company won the Second Prize for the Development and Application of Complicated Slope Instability Mechanism and Key Handling Technology for Open-pit Bedding as the first accomplishing unit.

The Scientific and Technological Prize of China's Non-Ferrous Metals Industry, the highest award for the science and technology of the entire industry, was the established jointly by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the Nonferrous Metals Society of China, which is also the only scientific and technological award of non-ferrous industry approved and set up by National Office for Science and Technology Awards, aiming at awarding the units and individuals making outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological progress of the non-ferrous industry.
