Recently, the 2015 annual China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award announced the “key technology research on Chambishi Copper Mine gently inclined cracked orebody mining and paste filling” maily completed by NFC Africa Mining PLC has won the first prize. It is the sixth year continuously for Zambia Branch of our company to win the first prize of industry science and technology award, which fully shows our company’s competitiveness and influence on science and technology innovation.
 
China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award, jointly established by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the Nonferrous Metals Society of China, is a unique science and technology award approved by the National Office for Science &Technology Awards, and it is designed to reward the units and individuals that make important contribution to the progress of non-ferrous metal industry science and technology.
 
The achievement of “key technology research on Chambishi Copper Mine gently inclined cracked orebody mining and paste filling” maily completed by NFC Africa Mining PLC, specific to mining technical problems such as Chambishi Copper Mine gently inclined medium thick  orebody is easily cracked and easily slimed when meeting water, has developed a zoning and grading support technology of complex cracked ore rock, establised the first paste filling system  based on the deep-cone thick technology in Zambia as well as supported the safe and efficient mining of western orebody.
 
In 2015, the holding group, as the first complete unit, besides the first prize of science and technology achievement won by NFC Africa Mining PLC, totally owned 16 science and technology achievement awards, including three “first prize”, nine “second prize” and four “third prize”, which reflects the higher scientific research management and technical level of the holding group.
