General Manager Zhang Keli Meet with Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) President Joseph Kabila

Zhang Keli, General Manager and Party Secretary of CNMC met with President Joseph Kabila of Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) who participated into the 70th Anniversary of the World Anti-fascist War and Chinese’s Victory of the Anti-Japanese War on September 4, 2015.

General Manager Zhang Keli firstly greeted President Joseph Kabila and thanked for the President’s friendly greeting in President Palace in June 2015. Zhang said President Joseph Kabila once again listened to investment reports on Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) by CNMC and CNMCL, which showed the President paid high attention to CNMC. Under the President’s care, CNMC and CNMCL had further reinforced investment strategy in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa).After signing strategic cooperation agreements with Gecamines of Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) in June 2015, previous preparation had been done for a batch of key projects.

President Joseph Kabila said CNMC was an international mining company listed into “Fortune Global 500”, had set up a batch of influential projects in central and southern Africa; the investment projects in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) had created good social impacts. President Joseph Kabila stressed the government and people of Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) would support development of CNMC and CNMCL in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) as always and also would greatly support CNMC and CNMCL concerning arrangement of excellent resources.

CNMC belongs to “Fortune Global 500” and is the Chinese enterprise with the most investments in central and southern Africa. CNMC and CNMCL have gone through hardships together with African people in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) since CNMC and CNMC entered Africa in 1998. They have experienced, took part and witnessed economic development and social progress in Africa. As of now, CNMC and CNMCL have totally invested over USD2.7 billion, employed 15000 in Africa, and become the best doer in “All-weather Friendship between China and Africa”.
