Delegation of Ministers from Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) Visit CNMC

Delegation of Ministers from Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) led by Martin Kabwelulum Minister of Ministry of Mining, visited China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), a holding group of CNMCL on September 1, 2015. Zhang Keli, General Manager and Party Secretary of CNMC warmly received the delegation.

The delegation visited CNMC’s Exhibition Hall and listened to reform and development processes as well as business development conditions at home and abroad of CNMC and CNMCL. In front of Introduction and Display Board of SX-EW Project in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), Minister Kabwelulum asked investments of CNMC and CNMCL in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) in detail, congratulated CNMCL’s attainments, and thanked for outstanding contributions by CNMC and CNMCL for economic development and employment in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa).

During talks, General Manager of Zhang Keli expressed his thanks for long supporting of CNMC and CNMCL from government of Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), introduced investment and development conditions of CNMC and CNMCL in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), and actively took part in local public welfare to benefit local people. He said CNMC and CNMCL would keep reinforcing cooperation with Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), and make more contributions to economic and social development in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa).

Minister Kabwelulum said Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) had been in good relations and cooperation with China since it won independence. The country had huge undiscovered resources of copper and cobalt as well as other useful resources with a promising future. He said his country was in a stable domestic situation and in need of economic development, and he expected CNMC and CNMCL would work with his country in more fields and make new contributions to social and economic development in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa).Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor, President of Gecamines in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), and relevant leaders in CNMC also took part in the meeting.
