On August 21, 2015, Tao Xinghu, chairman of the board of directors and President of CNMCL, led a delegation to visited Mrs. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda, the new Zambian Ambassador in China in the Zambia Embassy. The two sides had in-depth discussions about further strengthening cooperation.
Chairman Tao Xinghu first congratulated Mrs. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda on her taking office on behalf of Zhang Keli, general manager and Party secretary of CNMC, a holding group of CNMCL, and thanked the Zambia Embassy in China for its support for CNMC and CNMCL. During the talk, Tao Xinghu introduced the investment and development of CNMC and CNMCL and their active commitment to local social public welfare, employment, and benefits for the local people. Tao Xinghu said that the Zambia Embassy in China, as the tie and bridge for economic exchange of the two countries, has been offering great support for the development of CNMC and CNMCL. Four presidents of Zambia visited the headquarters of CNMC under the arrangement and assistance of the Zambia Embassy in China, which added strong spiritual power to the reform and development of CNMC and CNMCL. He stressed that CNMC and CNMCL would continue to strengthen their cooperation with Congo (Kinshasa) under the care and support of Mrs. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda and the Zambia Embassy to make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Zambia and create a new chapter for the Sino-Zambia friendship.
Ambassador Winnie Natala Chibesakunda thanked CNMC and CNMCL for their contributions to the economic development and social progress of Zambia on behalf of her government. She said that CNMC actively assisted the Zambia Embassy in organizing economic and trade activities during the visit of four Zambian presidents in China and those activities harvested good effects. The Zambia Embassy would also continue to support the investment and development of CNMC and CNMCL in Zambia.
Relevant department leaders of CNMC attended the meeting.
