As one of the key investment projects of our company, Chambishi South-east Orebody project has the designed annual ore mining quantity of 3.3 million tons and the designed annual copper metal production of 63000 tons. As the construction company undertaking this project, NFC (our branch in Zambia) also undertakes heavy work on both the main orebody and west orebody production and operations. As such, NFC has overcome the difficulties of heavy and complex tasks and has made best efforts to ensure the construction progress of the South-east Orebody project through the joint collaborations of the management and the staff. Given many unfavorable factors encountered such as heavy water production of auxiliary shaft and difficulties in land acquisition for 220KV power supply line construction, NFC has actively gained the great support of local government and fully cooperated with many construction, design and supervision companies to jointly develop detailed construction plan. The progress of each engineering project generally meets the requirements in the plan. The main shaft, South Ventilation Shaft, North Ventilation Shaft, 220KV transformer substation, 11KV distribution substation and transmission line as well as surface civil engineering constructions all progress normally as planned.
