On the morning of May 6, 2014 local time, Li Keqiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese premier, who was visiting Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, attended China-Africa Economic, Trade and Culture Round Table. Tao Xinghu, vice president of CNMC, was given a cordial interview by Premier Li Keqiang as a Chinese entrepreneur representative. Some 30 representatives from the business, educational, and cultural circles of China, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Tanzania attended the Round Table.
Premier Li Keqiang made an important speech at the Round Table. He believes that the close cooperation at all levels and in all fields between China, a developing country with a promising future, and Africa, a hopeful continent, will not only benefit Chinese and African people, but promote the development of the whole world. Premier Li Keqiang also points out that economic trade and culture are two indispensable “wheels” in promoting China-Africa cooperation. The two “wheels” should be tightly combined and driven together so as to put China-Africa cooperation on a fast track and guarantee a better, steadier, and farther development for both China and Africa.
